How many countries do you compare before recommending one?
Usually between 2 and 4 candidate countries, depending on product category and the countries where we already have a verified network.
Does this replace searching for a specific supplier?
No, it's the step before: first we decide the optimal country, then we search for and verify the specific supplier within that country.
Does this make sense if I already know I want to manufacture in China?
It can still be useful to compare regions within China, or to have a documented backup plan if conditions change.
